English Dub Review: Garo: Vanishing Line “Brother”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

This week, Sophie stops by the house of some lady who turns into a monster and nearly kills Sophie. Fortunately, Sword shows up and wrecks house with his bike and barely even has to change into “Garo” to destroy the wretched beast, but the alter ego DOES make a cameo.

Our Take

This week’s episode has a rather basic premise, but it’s a fun one that takes a long time to set off. The producers do a really good job of building up the suspense for the major twist and giving us the pay off of Garo’s badassery which was definitely at full tilt this week. There’s nothing TOO flashy about Garo, and I think that’s the way I like it.
