English Dub Review: Black Clover “The Black Bulls”
Paint it black.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
This week, we get to see a little bit of Yuno settling in with his new team, but really we spend the majority of the episode spending it with Asta getting cozy with the Black Bulls. Before he can get the official uniform, he has to fight a battle with Magna Swing of which Asta wins and is able to dress the part. Before the episode ends we meet another new entrant to the Black Bulls…Noelle Silva.
Our Take
This show is so damn good. We get another stellar battle sequence with Asta and the build-up to the new character reveal was put together so effectively that it’s one of those moments where you go, “Fuck yeah, let’s do this!” type of scenes. All of the Black Bulls look like a lot of fun, and feature a who’s who of Funimation favorites on voices like Chris Sabat as Yami, Justin Briner as Luck, Ian Sinclair as Magna, and a whole lot more, but it’s Dallas Reid’s take on Asta who continually blows me away to go along with stellar art direction and a fantastic plot with fun story arcs that hopefully will keep us busy the rest of the way. The Yuno bit seemed not needed and continues to be an otherwise dull character that more or less gets in the way. Give me an episode like this where we focus on just him, then maybe I’ll be more impressed, but until then, Black Clover is Asta’s show and here’s hoping it stays that way.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
