Review: The Jellies “Gangsta’s Paradise”
Find out if Adult Swim’s newest has us singing their praises.

Overview (Spoilers Below)
This week’s episode of The Jellies features Cornell doing everything he can to make sure his parents don’t get divorced. His best idea is to find Arnez, a long-retired soul singer that was the catalyst for The Jellies falling in love in the first place. Unfortunately, the “Gangsta’s Paradise” retirement home is no easy escape, but Cornell makes it out and back to his house in time to save the split from happening.
Our Take
The Jellies debuts with a bit of a cliched premise, but kind of like Superjail or Aqua Teen, this is probably one of those shows where you kinda forgive the writers and really just enjoy the ride. In this case, the ride is through the hilariously thought out retirement home that featured the likes of various famous past times including Barney the Dinosaur, Sonic the Hedgehog, and countless others that should give you a good time in freezing every frame just to see who you can pick out. Granted, the background designs of the retirement home looked like they were largely inspired by the designs you see on Dixie cups, but having the former animation studios for Superjail! is a good pick to have when you’re producing the frenetic pace that this series shows off during the escape. I’m not sure we’re quite there yet with dealing with any sort of fallout as a result of Cornell’s silly family dynamic, but we may not even need it.
SCORE
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
