English Dub Review: Lastman “Why Is This Guy Hitting Me?”
Time to put up or shut up.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
The tournament for the cup that will save Siri’s life is on and in the first round, Duke and Richard each get knockouts that will allow them to advance…until Richard gets arrested by the police of who were tipped off on his whereabouts via broadcast television. With Richard’s arrest, Milo gets an award that will allow him to pay off his debts to the fat man one way or another.
Our Take
Boxing is by far one of the most reliable movie genres and still does millions of PPV’s on television. But when have you seen animated boxing done right? The latest episode of Lastman does a lot of what makes those great boxing movies great. A compelling soundtrack, stellar direction during the fight scenes, and a captivating plot that’s starting to take shape and has taken it’s most ardent swivel yet. It’s taken a while, but the show is starting to focus on the task at hand which hopefully will make for some good drama in the episodes to come.
