“Winter is Coming”
Qrow asks Ruby to see a movie, while Taiyang asks Yang to spar. Sun says he’s interested in reading, so Blake tosses him a library card. “Inner Lives of Beowolves”
Cinder monologues to her team and to several Grimm. Two Grimm, Mike and Marty, start talking about how it’s the same thing every day. They go on a coffee break and toast to their fallen comrade Larry. The Geist Grimm appears (named Floyd), much to the two Grimm’s unhappiness. Mike gets irritated, but Marty suggests that they calm down by devouring the flesh of the innocent. Mike calms down and says that Marty always knows what to say.
Score:
8/10
Inner Lives is probably the best short of the season, by far. It takes the idea that the Grimm, who is shown in the main show as mindless monsters, might actually have names, opinions, and personalities. Some of them are friends, but they also don’t all get along together. Then, the reminder at the end that they still eat people adds to it. It’s a fun, darkly humorous, office-style skit. Seeing more that plays off this type of humor would be great.
Worst Short: Winter is Coming
Best Short: Inner Lives of Beowolves
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
