FOX Looking At Animated Series From Amy Poehler + Simpsons Producers
Mike and Julie Scully are teaming up with Amy Poehler and Paper Kite Productions for a new animated comedy that has been ordered to a script and pilot presentation.
According to Deadline, the untitled project is centered on the family and friends of 15-year-old Duncan Harris, an average kid with dreams of being a UFC fighter, tech billionaire, video game champ, or any job where you make a ton of money and don’t have to wear a tie.
Our Take
Today, FOX exec Dana Walden has no idea where she would schedule an animated series despite the fact that she is talking to the producers of King of the Hill for a return of the popular series as well as noting that The Simpsons isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. This is an attractive project, but the possibility of this being picked up to series is slim to none based on history alone.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
