SDCC2017: “Happy!’ Swaps Moynihan For Oswalt For Voice Of Titular Character

Well, alright then.

Syfy series has tapped Patton Oswalt in the role of the titular character in Syfy’s 2018 comic adaptation known as Happy! in place of Bobby Moynihan who held the same position for the show’s pilot.

Happyis based on New York Times best-selling author Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name. The series follows Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni, Law & Order: SVU) – an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man – who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named Happy.

Our Take

This is a pretty shocking development and comes a few days after Happy! named its villain. In any case, Patton Oswalt’s a reliable voice having done numerous guest appearances on The Simpsons, Futurama, and a slew of other animated TV shows.

Error happened.
