“Pet Party”

Ruby asks Zewi if he’s ready for the pet party, and Nora overhears and wants to come too. Nora keeps pestering Ruby, and Ruby whispers that there is no party, but that she needs to make up a story to keep Zwei calm. Nora responds that it’s not like Zwei is going to the vet. Hearing that, Zwei panics, and runs off, spreading destruction on an unprecedented scale.

Taiyang shows off his latest tie-dye shirt to Yang and Ruby. Neither is impressed by the pun.

“Boy Band”

Neptune, Sun, and Ren plan to start their own band. Jaune appears, dressed as Kiss, and Neptune freaks out, fearing that he’d drive all potential fans away. Ren reconsiders his decision to join the band, but Neptune begs him to stay, knowing that Ren’s dance skills are superb. Neptune tries to reason with Jaune, but he accidentally touches Jaune’s face paint and has an allergic reaction to the latex.

The shorts were fun, but none were particularly outstanding. RWBY Chibi tends to be hit or miss, but none of these seemed impactful enough to be considered a hit. Fairly neutral on this episode; not good but not bad.
