English Dub Review: Tsukigakirei “Vita Sexualis”
Hmmm…
Word is spreading fast about the relationship. This makes it even harder for Akane and Kotaro to speak to each other at school. At least now Kotaro can get some real advice. Roman tells him he needs to wait for Akane to get done with her club so he can walk her home. She’s pretty happy about that. Her boyfriend is finally being considerate.
She meets him after tracking in the library and they eat bento boxes together. They talk about their hobbies, you know, normal conversation stuff and Akane asks if she can watch Kotaro’s drum beating practice. (It’s called something but I don’t know what. They beat drums.) All his drum beating friends are ecstatic to meet his girlfriend. Then Kotaro shows off some drum beating dance moves that have never been shown on Tsukigakirei before. Akane is entranced.
Later, they go to a festival together, and Akane looks beautiful. Her mom made her get all dressed up. They have an adorable time together. When Akane finds out Kotaro’s birthday has already passed, she sneaks off to buy him a present. (The big day is August 7th, that’s still coming up for us if you want to celebrate.) They walk under a trellis of wind chimes and write down their wishes. Then Akane gives Kotaro his present – a little potato worry doll just like hers.
It’s time for kiss number two! Will it happen? Come on guys, we’ve already established you like each other thousands of times. I think it happened, but it was a really wide shot. They could have just been standing closely.
At school, one of Akane’s classmates remarks she’s never seen Kotaro and Akane talking. That’s a great point. The girls grill Akane about what she actually likes about Kotaro. She says she feels really safe with him. Appropriately, all the girls squeal.
Back at the wind chime trellis, a close-up reveals both their wishes: “I wish to be together forever”.
Aww! I hope they’re together forever, too. If only because they want to be. And I kind of never want this story to end. That’s a huge change from the first few episodes of the series. Now I want countless episodes of Kotaro and Akane (sometimes painfully) slowly falling in love.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
