Here’s What Really Was Supposed To Happen After Kirk VanHouten Got Fired On “The Simpsons”
Things go a lot worse for Kirk…
One of the earliest episodes of The Simpsons that would then create a bit of an arc in terms of continuity was the episode “A Milhouse Divided”. In it, Kirk and Luann Milhouse get divorced causing Kirk to also to lose his job at the cracker factory as shown in this scene:
Evidently, the end of this scene was meant to go a bit longer and include one of my favorite gags in The Simpsons, in that when someone usually is drowning in despair, the writers and producers like to throw in a few more kicks before picking the character back up again. As luck would have it, Luann and Kirk would remarry in the episode “Little Orphan Millie” , so all is well that ends well.
In other news, we have an all-new episode of The Simpsons to think about premiering this Sunday Night @ 8 pm ET/PT, only on FOX, check your local listings.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
