Turner Digital Series “Storyville” To Premiere Some Time This Year?
A new press release may provide some answers.
Mid-last year, we told you guys about a digital animated series called Storyville that was ordered for 10 episodes by Turner Broadcasting to debut last fall via Okayplayer. Unfortunately, other than two episodes, we haven’t seen anything from the franchise. However, now we may know why.
The producers behind Storyville, Mass Appeal, just closed on $6 million in Series A funding that will go towards the multitude of projects that are currently in production and that could mean Storyville. The show will feature funny, absurd, weird and sometimes sheer joyful stories straight from the mouths of top celebrities. The true-life stories of musicians, actors, comedians, writers and artists will be animated in detail, exposing the absurdity of celebrity life in all of its glory.
A press release notes that a number of Mass Appeal’s projects are supposed to release this year so we’re hoping that includes this one.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
