Netflix: The Producers of “Archer” Team Up With Channing Tatum’s Index Finger For New Animated Film
This sounds killer.
April 5th sees the first of the final 24 episodes of FXX’s Archer, but production studio Floyd County Productions is usually good for two franchises in production at a time.
Enter this Earth-shattering news that will see the producers of Archer (Adam Reed and Matt Thompson) team up with the producers of Son of Zorn (Lord & Miller) and further team up with Channing Tatum’s production company (Free Association) to produce a new R-rated animated film written by Dave Callaham called America: The Motion Picture. The film is an animated revisionist history tale about the founding of the country with Channing voicing the role of President George Washington.
It almost sounds like an animated Inglorious Basterds for lack of a better comparison, and the fact that Netflix is financing this project for release shows the streaming service is the only forward-thinking network out there when it comes to animation and seeing it as more of a format and not of a genre. No word on a release date, but I hope it’s coming soon.
Channing Tatum’s Germany animated series was recently passed on by Comedy Central, and we haven’t heard anything about a second season pickup for FOX’s Son of Zorn.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
