English Dub Review: ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept “Where Pride and Train Tracks Lead”

For those hoping for a cool conclusion after last week’s cliffhanger, get ready for more toast.

Spoilers Below

While at the Rokkusu district, Jean runs into Grossular and tries to convince the chief that he’s not part of a coup and was even able to tell the ACCA figure-head about the tail that has been put on him for investigation. During the course of the conversation we get a bunch of flashbacks and learn that Grossular was an important figurehead when Jean’s parents died in a train accident several years ago, and as a result, Jean actually has a lot of respect for Grossular even if Grossular doesn’t necessarily get the same respect from his chief cohorts. Jean then heads home, throws a party, and somehow convinces Mauve that he’s not being very loyal due to the lack of information Jean is getting from the various districts that he’s been visiting. The episode concludes with Jean’s visit to the Hare district which seems to go over fine save for a few drinks.

Our Take

The show’s ridiculous fascination of food and beverages continues this week. Seriously, if you don’t leave this show wanting toast after every episode then you are a stronger person than I am because that’s all I’m getting from it. This series is boring, and it’s a lot of , “Who Shot, John?” in terms of plot with a bunch of desserts thrown in for good measure.
