English Dub Review: ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. “The Truth Emerges in the Night Mists”

About 15 minutes of the show is food. Whether it’s Jean and Nino eating pies, ordering shit for Lotta, or whatever, it’s just food porn. BUT! Things get crazy interesting when Prince Schwann starts learning about the death of his sister and her guard, Abend. Mauve meets up with Jean after a return trip from Dowa and we learn that Jean is actually royalty and is next in line to take over even before Schwann, the latter who has been lead to believe this whole time that HE was going to be next. Worst yet? Despite his crush on Lotta for a while, he comes to grips with the fact that she might be his long-lost sister and that Jean is her brother. Next week, Nino comes clean to Jean.

Our Take

Hooooooly shit. I’m really hoping where all the arduous work of the first half of the season and watching it is about to pay off because this thing JUST….GOT…REAL! Yea, the food porn is still pointless and all over the place, but that last 10 or so minutes did enough to make me sit up straight and get ready for what could be a barn-burner of a finish.
