English Dub Review: Interviews with Monster Girls “Tetsuo Takahashi Wants to Protect”

Nooowww we’re getting somewhere!

Spoilers Below

This week, Tetsuo more or less begins the process of assembling his class of demigods. Joining him in providing ample amounts of therapy and hugs, is Sake. After a few episodes, Sake has finally gotten over her ridiculous fears of mingling with anyone and becomes a sort of aid to Tetsuo’s ongoing studies.

This week’s studies sees more of a focus on Yuki of whom is all depressed because the human girls at school talk shit about her and others around the campus. Hikari jumps in like a bat out of hell and sticks up for her new pal, and even puts a couple of girls in their place. The next day, Tetsuo spends some time with Himari to try and dispel some of her preconceived notions about him, and it may have just worked.

Our Take

For the first time since this series has kicked off, I finally got the “Now we’re getting somewhere!” feeling. Tetsuo now appears to have a purpose in wanting to interview these monster girls, and that now seems to be extending to family members of said monster girls. A little bit of filler near the end, but now I’m a bit more interested in what’s going down.
