Don’t Expect Any New FOX Toon Pickups For This Year
But, could next year get something?
According to a new article from Deadline.com, evidently, FOX will not be expected to pick up any animated comedies for the 2017 calendar year. However, there could be announcements coming concerning the development of new intellectual properties for possible 2018/2019 start.
This is in line with sister FX Networks’ recent announcements concerning animation. Unknown at the moment is whether or not FOX’s newest animated comedy/live-action hybrid Son of Zorn is going to get a second season pickup. We do know that Archer: Dreamland is coming in April.
As for Fall 2017, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers all have seasons in production.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
