Review: The Happy Tree Friends Still Alive Pack
Find out if this new episode pack from Mondo is worth the steep price.
Mondo Media continues its end of the year purge of its classic animated franchises. Similar to the company’s other recent release featuring Deep Space 69, Mondo has released a new five-pack collection of episodes for Happy Tree Friends. For $6.99, you get five episodes, and a slew of background design videos, an animation video, a writer’s room video, and a bunch of story boards available.
For your animation enthusiasts and producers, the production videos are probably way more fascinating for that sort of crowd, but the real meat and potatoes of the “Still Alive Pack” is the five new episodes and yes they are just as you’d expect. Decapitations, grinding, and impaled corpses adorn the new episodes of Happy Tree Friends that harken back to the classic days of Looney Tunes when characters can pull guns on each other or chase them around the kitchen with butcher knives. Happy Tree Friends fits that mold quite nicely and should keep you entertained for a little over 10 minutes or so.
And that’s, unfortunately, the crux of the issue for the new pack…is it worth the price of admission? A near $7 for five episodes is a bit steep, so if you are a die-hard for behind-the-scenes stuff, you could see a great value for the purchase. However, if you’re more of a casual fan of adult animation and are looking for something with a bit more meat on the bones in terms of what you get on a per-episode basis, you can maybe do better.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
