Review: Marvel’s ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN VS. The Sinister 6 “The Moon Knight Before Christmas”

I can’t wait til this franchise dies.

Spoilers Below

Spider-Man has to watch Doctor. Strange’s house while he’s away. A rather ordinary night goes sour when he hears a young girl screaming outside his door. Turns out, Moon Knight’s been chasing her all over the place due to the fact that the moon told him to do it. Spidey thwarts his advances and brings her inside. The girl eventually makes her way to a secret room that holds Mysterio’s old helmet. She puts it on and reveals herself to being the new Mysterio.

Spidey’s not convinced that she’s all bad despite the fact that Mysterio is sending all sorts of Christmas-villains his way. Spidey teams up with “Mooney” and they put a wand inside the glass bowl head of Mysterio which causes Spidey to go inside and learn that the real Mysterio is trapped in here thanks to a deal with Dormammu that went south. Fortunately, Spidey is able to get everyone to safety, and Mysterio looks to continue his crime-free life.

Our Take

This show sucks and I’m glad it’s near death. For starters, seeing Spider-Man wear his suit during times in which he doesn’t need to wear a suit is just downright douchey. An episode featuring Moon Knight sounded like it may have some legitimacy to it, but that went RIGHT out the window with this horseshit of a back story for Mysterio. I hope the new Marvel Spider-Man series is a lot better than this steaming pile.
