Wayne Gretsky and Matt Leinart to guest star on “The Simpsons”
Sports, sports, sports, sports.
On December 11th, we’re getting an all-new episode of The Simpsons entitled “The Nightmare After Krustmas” which has already been talked about quite a bit because, in it, Krusty’s dad makes a return and Natasha Lyonne guest stars as Krusty’s daughter.
Turns out, that’s not all because NHL.com is reporting that one Wayne Gretsky will be lending his likeness and voice to the episode in an upcoming cameo. This will be the first time an NHL player has lent his likeness AND voice to a Simpsons episode, and I couldn’t think of more proper first entry.
Hopefully, this is just the start, as I have a long wish list of players I’d like to see on The Simpsons including Bobby Orr and Cam Neely.
In any case, we have a bunch of new episodes of The Simpsons to go until December 11th including one this Sunday Night @ 8 pm ET/PT, which will feature a sports voice on the completely opposite end of the professional sports spectrum in the form of former Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart. While Matt didn’t have anywhere near the successful professional sports career as Sonny-boy Wayne, he is noted for having dominated Paris Hilton so I guess that’s noteworthy?
FOXSports.com has a clip featuring Leinart’s upcoming guest appearance and you can see it here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
