Review: The Amazing World of Gumball “The Test”

Gumball takes an online test to find out which sitcom character he is. When his result is “The Loser,” he loses his mind. He decides to change his archetype to become more popular. At Darwin’s suggestion, Gumball decides to keep in all of the terrible comments that usually come out of his mouth. So he ends up swallowing a lot of venom, which isn’t very good for him. Meanwhile, Tobias is walking around the school as The Jock, complete with canned laughter and all the other fun sitcom staples. Sarah takes notes and tries to whatever she can to end all of this silliness. Eventually, Tobias ends up in the hospital and Gumball gets back to normal.

To be honest, I found this episode rather boring. It started out decently but quickly fell flat. Once Gumball decided to swallow his “venom,” it wasn’t funny anymore. And the Tobias storyline was dull and distracting. It didn’t seem to have anything to do with the rest of the episode except maybe to connect the story to the online test. Meh.
