Spoilers Below
A father reads a story to two young kids a book called “GooGoos”. In it, we hear a story about a Count sending a dragon to abduct children and no one can stop him from doing so. That said, the place isn’t so bad. The Count has a shit load of toys, does magic tricks, and no parents! Oh yea, I forgot to mention that he drinks the kids ala Espresso.
Meanwhile, Natasha, Raul, and Papa GooGoo head to the Count’s island to save the kids. They run into a captain named Cooper who needs 2 grand to pay off some gambling debts in exchange for his services. Despite the threat of pirates and no promises of him sticking around, Cooper makes good on his deal.
Coop attempts to fly his new compadres to the island, but the Count sends his dragon “Toto” to strike them down. Everyone on the ship survives and Natasha, Raul, and Papa heads to the island. They come across a cyclops named “Turner”that threatens to eat Natasha and Raul for breakfast. Fortunately, Raul has a “papaya juice” that makes people fall in love and Natasha sends it down the throat of Turner. As a result, Turner agrees to help Natasha and Papa GooGoo to their destination while Raul stays behind.
Natasha and Papa get into the Count’s castle but is quickly captured by the Count. As luck would have it, one of the GooGoo kids punches the Count in the dick and everyone escapes thanks to the combined efforts of Turner and Captain Cooper.
The story ends in celebration…like all good stories do.
Our Take
This week’s two-parter was an excellent change of pace, and was so good I’m surprised this wasn’t the finale. For fans of adventures with pirates and castles and elements of Transylvania, you should enjoy this one. I think my favorite gag from the whole episode was Natasha constantly shooting Papa GooGoo though a close second was Raul’s eye-raping of our elf princess. Aesthetically, I was super impressed with the shading and silhouettes of the characters on the bookend of the two parts as I thought it showed skill in background design to go along with the already strong character designs.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
