Review: Dream Corp LLC “The Predator”
Stick around…
Spoilers Below
We open to Randy losing his hand, but Patient 86 is here and he has the hives. 86’s partner aka Patient 103 finally joins him and the two are put under for the REAL test. As Randy is fucking around with a new hand, the couple is riding dolphins in what appears to be a Caribbean-like climate with Dr. Roberts trying his best to contain the situation.
It doesn’t take long before Dr. Roberts runs RIGHT into the fucking Predator just as the patients discover an air balloon. Eventually, Dr. Roberts leaves, and the couple works through their relationship woes thanks to the therapeutic values of the Yautja. The patients wake up and appear to have worked things out, except for the fact that 86 may be dying.
Our Take
You know what’s great about Randy losing his hand? Now it’s part of an arc…like Star Wars. Eff Star Wars, because it isn’t Predator and I much prefer the latter.
I think this week’s episode had by far the longest amount of time split between the animated world and the real world, but I was getting a little lost in the plot as we moved through the couples’ alternate universe. I didn’t quite get the crux of their problems…but who cares? The fucking Predator! Seriously, Adult Swim shows have the love affair with the B-movie horror icon. Between Robot Chicken, BNHNSP, and now this show, I wouldn’t be surprised by an animated series starring the Predator coming soon.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
