Review: Bob’s Burgers “They Serve Horses, Don’t They?”
Hay is for horses…
Spoilers Below
While he flaunts how much money he makes over Bob, Jimmy Pesto tells Bob that he has a meat vendor, Jack Conway, that gives him rock bottom prices. Reluctantly, Bob gives the guy a try. Well, it turns out the guy is serving up horse meat. Health inspectors, Hugo and Ron, blackmail Bob into helping them investigate Jack. Bob places a couple of orders with Jack but each time he fails to properly record the transaction. However, he has one more chance. The Belchers have been invited to Jack’s birthday party since they have been such great customers. While there, Bob and Linda have second thoughts about busting Jack. In the end, Bob gets the evidence on tape and Jack is caught. Weirdly, Jack doesn’t actually face any jail time. He only has to pay a couple of fines. Now he’s thinking about writing a book about his life. OK, he’s writing Friday Night Lights with a few changes to fit his circumstances.
I didn’t completely hate this episode but it wasn’t great either. It was a rather straight-forward episode with no side stories. The kids barely acted up. Mostly it was Tina being upset that horses were being served as hamburgers…and possibly hot dogs. I’m here for the funny. Sadly, there wasn’t a lot of funny here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
