Review: Star Wars Rebels “Hera’s Heroes”
There goes my heroes.
Spoilers Below
The Empire has taken over Hera’s home. Both her planet and her actual house. Her father and a few others managed to get away but they were forced to leave behind a precious family heirloom. Hera is determined to get it back. Of course, everyone volunteers to help her.
Thanks to a newly stolen scout trooper uniform, Ezra escorts “prisoner” Hera into her childhood home to retrieve the Kalikori from her father’s office. Unfortunately, there are more guards than they had planned.
Honestly, there isn’t a lot more to tell about the plot. Grand Admiral Thrawn shows up and proves that he knows more about the Rebels than any of the other Imperial offers. He gets very angry when Slavin threatens to destroy the heirloom and he even lets the Ghost go when they inevitably escape. So, really, we learned more about Thrawn than anyone else. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
As for the episode itself, it was kinda boring. Chopper apparently has some issues with the ship on Ryloth but that just meant that he seemed to sulk for awhile before coming back as if nothing happened. Hera was way too focused on the Kalikori. I get that it is supposed to be extremely valuable to her but they went through a lot of trouble and she didn’t even get to keep it. Maybe it will come into play later in the season since Thrawn still has it. Though now it seems like it isn’t as important to Hera as it once was. Well, I hope the show gets better soon.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
