Ratings Are In 10/18/16: FOX Toons Rise
More of the lineup returns on Sunday!
FOX returned with most of its original premieres last night, and with The Simpsons celebrating both 600 episodes AND a new iteration of Treehouse of Horror, the numbers proved that both had worked. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear the last-ditch effort of Family Guy in being topical hasn’t moved the needle THAT much. According to Variety:
On Fox, the annual “Treehouse of Horror” episode of “The Simpsons,” the 600th episode of the show, notched a 3.1 demo rating and 7.51 million total viewers, thanks to a cushy lead-in from Fox’s post-Cowboys-Packers analysis. “Son of Zorn” came in with a 1.5 demo and 3.83 million total viewers. “Family Guy” drew a 1.6 and 3.67 million viewers.
Bob’s Burgers returns with an all-new episode happening this Sunday, so it’ll be interesting to see how the numbers fair.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
