English “Shonen Jump” To Carry/Publish “RWBY”

At San Diego Comic Con, anime/manga distributor VIZ Media announced a collaboration with Rooster Teeth to publish books based on their animated action series RWBY. Now, this weekend at New York Comic Con, they have announced some of those plans with news that Shirow Miwa’s (Dogs: Bullets & Carnage) Ulta Jump prequel will be running English edition of Shonen Jump.

Miwa expands the story to explore some of its mysteries in the adaptation supervised by Rooster Teeth, with Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang meeting on the first day of class at Beacon Academy.
Miwa previously contributed to a RWBY Comiket tribute book.
In other news, Rooster Teeth also revealed the poster for Vol.4 which tastefully dodges a particular spoiler related to Yang.

The popularity is really blowing up and I hope to be part of it when Vol.4 is released October 22nd. 🙂

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
