This episode was 3 mins and 31 seconds long with zero promotional ads.

The interesting part about this episode is that these skits are based on actual memes, fan art and web comics from the Rwby fanbase themselves so it’s a nice surprise from Rooster Teeth to give something back to their fans. 🙂

“Friendship Bracelets”

The Skit begins when Ruby approaches Weiss while she’s busy on her “Scroll” and says to her they have “Friendship Bracelets”.

Weiss is mildly annoyed by this and says in her own words: “Fine, let me have it”

Only for the friendship bracelets to be actual gold handcuffs much to Weiss’s shock and the skit ends.

“Winter’s Letter”

Weiss writes a letter to her dear sister Winter explaining that while she wasn’t chosen to be a “Team Leader” she does assure her they have a capable leader in the form of Ruby.

It then hilariously cuts back and forth to Ruby doing random goofy shit with her dog, juxtaposed to Weiss trying to make her sound less stupid in Winter’s letter like wanting her dog to watch her “eat a cookie through her nose” and the skit ends with the camera showing her reaction of disgust hearing a crunching sound from her nose. (WTF?)

“Checkmate”

Ruby & Yang proceed to quietly play a game of chess.

Ruby wins saying to her sister “Checkmate!” and Yang commends her for winning like the supportive sister that she is. 🙂

Hilariously out of nowhere Blake & Weiss show up thinking that their “Team-Attack” is called upon and Yang comments that they “really need to rename that move”. 😛

My only problem with this skit is that people outside of Tumblr won’t get it since most of the “shipping names” they picked out were utilized by Monty as “Team Attack Formations” when he worked on Season 2. But you’d have no clue unless you’ve understood Tumblr’s rabid shipping fanbase.

Also, did they forget that Weiss is supposed to be left-handed?

“Cinder Who?”

Ruby kicks her dorm door open telling Weiss Cinder wants to hang out. Weiss, of course, doesn’t know who she is and asks for her last name to Ruby.

It then cuts to a montage of Ruby trying to guess with things that Rhyme with fall which are:

“Cinder Mall” – with Cinder is at a clothing store with an outfit asking, “This is something young people wear Right?” while holding her tournament disguise from Vol.3

“Cinder Falls” – where Cinder has fallen onto some steps while Mercury laughs like the douche-monkey that he is while Cinder tells him to stop. 😛

“Cinder Doll” – Mercury holds a goofy looking sock-puppet version of Cinder while emerald laughs.

“Cinder Stalls” – The “Junior Detectives” are demanding to check Cinder’s dorm while she stalls them enough to hide incriminating evidence with Neo and her teen brigade’s help.

“Cinder LOLS” – A reverse scenario where Cinder throws her two subordinates off the stairs and laughs at their pain.

And finally “Cinder Bawls” Where all the hero characters of RWBY dance with the sign “world piece achieved” in the background much to Cinder’s disgust and disappointment. 😛

The montage/skit ends with Ruby responding to Weiss’s question “I don’t know it’s like Cinder Autumn or something” and Weiss says “Well too bad I’m studying” much to Ruby’s disappointment.
