Reviews: Rick and Morty: Lil’ Poopy Superstar #2 and #3
Let’s get all caught up on the spin-off of the Rick and Morty comics series.
Spoilers Below
I was rather harsh with the first issue of the Rick and Morty Comics spin-off series, but now I’m getting to warm up to the series. We’ve got a rather compelling tale on our hand consisting of PB being forced to act in movies for a die-hard fan base on his home planet with Summer then being taken to jail. Eventually, Summer gets out of jail, and heads on a mission to save PB once and for all.
On the other side of the equation, the thing I DON’T like about this spin-off series is that we get silly Rick and Morty comics that are a bit shorter than the normal series, and really don’t add a whole lot to the spin-off. In Issue#2 we’re getting ice cream with Jerry and in Issue#3 we’re clothes shopping. Nothing really special, and frankly, I would’ve liked to have seen a better idea used for the second story, but overall the Lil’ Poopy Superstar comics are starting to get a lot better and probably would be a great way for you to remember the TV series before it comes back.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
