Ratings Are In 9/26/16: Animation on FOX numbers steady from last year
Good news is, the numbers are about the same as last year…the bad news is the numbers are about the same as last year.
Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, and Family Guy each had Amy Schumer as a guest star, but it appears that the majority of the world didn’t give a shit as each show only went up or down a tenth from fall 2015.
Here’s what Deadline had to say:
The oldest show, Fox’s The Simpsons, opened its 28th (!) season at 8 PM with the highest adults 18-49 Live+Same Day rating of the night, 1.6, up a tenth from last fall’s debut. No other Sunday series was able to crack the 1.5 demo mark. Of the other Fox comedies, Bob’s Burgers (1.3) at 7:30 also was up a tenth from its fall 2015 debut, Son of Zorn (1.2) at 8:30 PM was down 50% from its NFL-boosted premiere, Family Guy(1.4) at 9 PM was off by a tenth from last year
I’m actually surprised that Son of Zorn had the drop that it had given all of the marketing dollars that were pumped into the premiere by FOX. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear we have any huge gaps in episode premieres for quite a while, so hopefully some momentum will follow.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
