Comics Review: The Flintstones #2
Wow, what a difference.
Spoilers Below
Issue #2 of The Flintstones kicks the shit out of Issue #1 every which way. This month’s issue deals with a lot of comical issues that us adults go through, more importantly the buying of ‘crap’. The real morale of the story is that people are sold crap constantly and the best we can do is cherry pick the necessities.
Issue #2 does an excellent job of melding present-day and prehistoric settings featuring at home ‘appliances’ like dish washers, vacuums (that double as items of worship), and weed-eaters. It gets to the point that Fred buys so much shit to make Vilma happy that he has to get a second job just to keep up. Fortunately, Vilma is a very understanding and loving wife, and Fred learns an important lesson.
This issue features all of the ingredients in making a solid comic book featuring The Flintstones with laugh out loud moments mixed with important morals that are just as important to you and me as they are to the characters that we read. With improved character designs and our first taste of Bam-Bam and Dino, this comic series could be off to the races.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
