Shorts Review: RWBY Chibi Episode 5

This was slightly longer due to a random ad in regards to a convention that RoosterTeeth announced they’d be appearing at. (3 mins and 36 seconds.)

“Costume Party”

It Hilariously starts out with Team RWBY switching up their outfits which made it feel like they just took action figures and switched their heads around. 😛

Until Jaune walks in with dressed Exactly as Weiss demanding Ruby to change into something else.

While part of me laughed, the other part made me ask myself why Jaune has a replica of Weiss’s dress?

Please tell me the context of that is not terrible because that is immensely creepy, like “Single White Female” creepy yo!

“Ear Cleaning”

The 2nd Skit simply has Blake doing hygenic stuff in the form of cleaning her ears.

It starts out fine but then you realize her cat ears also function as actual ears (meaning she technically has 4 ears in total.)

This one was quite bland but It did give me a small chuckle at least.

“Sissy Fight”

Ruby is carefully putting together a “Card Tower” only for it to crumble apart when Weiss goes to look for a book of her’s and leaves while inadvertently making it crumble.

We then cut to Weiss basking in the accomplishment of a clean dorm.

Only for Ruby to stick-it to her by walking in the kitchen with muddy feet.

Moments later as Ruby plays fetch with Zwei, Weiss challenges Ruby to a Duel Outside which starts out with Ruby trying to hilariously retort back.

While this is going on, Ruby’s Dog Zwei cartoonishly bounces around like he’s tumbleweed.

And just as they prepare weapons, they quickly drop them just to “Sissy-Fight” each other. 😛

“Shadow People”

Team RWBY casually walks in the streets of the town they’re in only for Ruby to accidently bump into a human-shaped black shadowy person.

To break the awkwardness it starts to get “Meta” and point out the weirdness of these shadow people existing and Ruby even further points out that some of the shadow people resemble them in shape.

The part that leaves me puzzled is the credits. The cast is present and accounted for when voicing their characters but Nora is nowhere to be seen despite the credits claiming otherwise?

Best sketch: “Sissy-Fight”

Worst Sketch:“Ear Cleaning”
