Season Review: “Bob’s Burgers” Season Six

Did Bob’s Burgers have a Super Six?

After only taking a half a point deficit season-over-season, Bob’s Burgers is FOX’s most consistent animated comedy in recent years in show quality. When it comes to show scheduling, THIS becomes a pain in the ass. Hell, we actually had a time frame of TWO MONTHS between brand-new episodes only to follow up with two weekends with hour-long blocks. Oh, and the 7 pm, and 730, and 830, and 930 start times…I mean shit…The Simpsons has been on for almost 30 seasons and THAT show hasn’t had anywhere close to the time-slot abuse.

That said, Season Six had a LOT to celebrate. For starters, show star Jon Benjamin co-wrote TWO episodes this season, “The Land Ship” and “Secret Admiral-irer” and they were BOTH very well-received. We also have come to pass the 100th episode of Bob’s Burgers which is a landmark achievement, and in about three more seasons, this Emmy-winning series will have surpassed American Dad! in number of episodes aired on FOX which is quite impressive. Throw in the Bob’s Burgers LIVE! shows and the improving comic book series, Bob’s Burgers is Bento Box Entertainment’s biggest franchise yet.

But, FOX has to really work on the show’s scheduling…shit…put Bob’s Burgers on a different night if you can’t figure out when to air it on Sundays!
