Review: Regular Show “Pops’ Favorite Planet”

This could be the start of something pretty cool.

Pops has longed to see his favorite planet again, but distractions keep coming up. In present day, we see the park employees have to leave the house for fumigation. Benson heads to a hotel, and Rigby, Mordecai, and Pops decide to sleep outside to watch the skies. Unfortunately, Pops’ trusty telescope is minus a piece, so the guys decide to use Skips observatory. Of course, Rigby and Mordecai decide to play a game of baseball and destroy the observatory’s power source that causes Pops to flip out and fix it with some sort of magic. How? I think this could be an arc, because we don’t get that answer just yet…

Our Take

Pops’ episodes are hot lately, and this was a good one. I kinda wanted to see more of Benson at the hotel, and whatever did happen to Muscle Man after he fell into the house and was eaten by termites? Oh yea, and did we just set off an arc with Pops? It sure looks that way because we have a bunch of unanswered questions i.e. the source of Pops’ powers, the significance of the planet, etc. I wanna see more, and I hope we get a sequel or continuation of this of some sort.
