Comics Review: Simpsons Illustrated #23
The number 23 is important in basketball, but does it work for Simpsons Comics?
Simpsons Illustrated offers up some excellent variety this time around. A two-parter story with Homer vs a raccoon? When was the last time we even say a two-parter in Simpsons Comics? Almost never. That may be worth the purchase alone, but then an excellent story featuring Doctor Colossus. I personally love the Radioactive Man! strips, and for the Bongo to stick in a standalone that has one of that franchise’s ancillary characters was random as hell, but it worked. The other stuff is good, but I look for the strips that make a purchase different, and Bongo does just that.
SCORE
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
