Shorts Review: Late Night Snack’s “Lord of the Flies”

Jack McBrayer re-imagines Lord of the Flies. Jack tells the story of a bunch of rich kids crashing in the middle of the Atlantic to escape serving in WW2. Two teams form, red and blue. One team is trying to make the best of the situation, the other team is trying to get the hell off the island. Cops eventually find the kids and bring them home.

Our Take

I like Jack McBrayer, but he has such a storied voice-over career that I almost wish the producers of the short picked someone else. Between Wander Over Yonder and years on Phineas and Ferb, we hear a lot of Jack doing voice over. He’s great, but all too common. The short itself was ok, with a laugh here and there, but overall somewhat standard.
