Ratings Are In 4/4/16: All Toons Down
It looks as though the constant changes in the Sunday Night schedule is starting to have a negative effect on “Sunday Funday”. According to Variety, overnight ratings for FOX toons weren’t that great:
Fox had a rough night even with all originals, as “Bordertown” (0.4/2 in 18-49, 1.0 million viewers overall) finished deep in fourth place among the broadcasters and the rest of the night couldn’t recover. “The Simpsons” (1.0/4 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall) fell to season low, sandwiching the time-period premiere of “Bob’s Burgers” at 8:30 (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall) and a special second episode at 9 (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall).
It was a rather busy night. WWE’s Wrestlemania, The Walking Dead finale, and the return of Sunday Night Baseball probably didn’t do the network a lot of favors. I would think a lot of people would at least be curious about Smithers‘ coming out party, so I expect some pick ups in on demand viewing.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
