Review: Venture Bros. ” It Happening One Night”
Spoilers Below
As the title suggests, there are a lot of things happening on this night in Venture land. Not all of them good I’m afraid. No question in my mind this was the least funny and least interesting episode of the season so far.
That doesn’t mean that there is not any fun to be had in this episode because there is. The Monarch/Blue Morpho has been carrying this season and this episode doesn’t change that fact one bit. The Monarch is really starting to enjoy his metamorphosis into the superhero/villain made famous by his father. So much so that he’s willing to drug Dr. Mrs The Monarch when she was doing her best Daisy Duke impression and ready for a romp in the hay. Stupid stupid man.
Rusty is in danger because of a new band of bad guys led by a creepy Andy Warhol type. Redundant, I know. Brock is doing his best trying to protect everyone with a lock-down of the entire building but Hank and Dean are out in the park trying to trick Sirena into thinking that Hank is a cooler dude than he really is. As expected, it doesn’t go quite like the boys planned but if you don’t want to eat at a Ninja themed restaurant after watching this, we cant be friends.
Keep your eye out for some great movie references as usual. Trading Places, Troy (duh) Splash, Bull Durham, Raiders of the Lost Ark to name a few. Best line award of the night – “I got dead dolphin juice in my mouth”
This episode was definitely below par for me and I give it a season low

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
