Review: Kirby Buckets “Twinsies”

Spoilers Below

Students from other Forest District Schools are here at Forest Hills including those from Beach and Swamp schools. It isn’t long before Kirby meets these kids that are just like his crew, Bucky, Bird, and the kid who plays Peter Pan in those Geico commercials (aka Levi). Bucky has his own web channel he’s looking to promote with the new kids which means Kirby has some competition with the new kids.

To try and ruin Bucky, Kirby decides to throw a whole bunch of pranks at the kid to try and ruin his cred. Bucky responds by doing the exact same thing, but he actually posts the pranks on his competing page.

It isn’t long before Dawn meets Bucky’s older sister Dawn leaving everyone to believe the two are twins due to having the same name and looking the same. While Dawn Buckets seems rather normal, this fat girl’s name is Dawn Biscuits because she eats chicken and biscuits all the time. Despite obvious differences, even Dawn’s mom can’t tell the difference between the two.

Kirby eventually meets Dawn Biscuits whom seems to know all of Bucky’s weaknesses, but we come to find out that Dawn Buckets is actually playing her own ruse on Kirby. The next day, Bucky and Kirby meet in the basement of the school and are trapped by their sisters. The two escape, but then the girls glue rat tails to their brothers’ head which now makes them look like the swamp kids. Just as the two are about to be thrown out of the school, Kirby and Bucky make a break for it and meet up with Eli and Levi. We find out that these kids met once before and ate rats as a result.

The Dawns want to celebrate in style and come across free chicken made with taffy and get destroyed by all kids with a bunch of old food. We also get Swamp Kids to ask out the dirty Dawns on dates. The Beach school reopens, but the Swamp Kids could be JUST moving in.

Our Take

What…the…hell…happened…here??

We got ourselves the BEST episode of Kirby Buckets I’ve ever seen. All of the new kids were super fun and sorely needed to kick this show in its ass. Everyone was hilarious with my personal favorite being Peter Pan, but I wouldn’t mind seeing all of the kids become regulars on the show because it would open up a slew of possibilities. The Dawns were great, and I think’s it time to put some pep in this show’s step. Granted, Bucky Biscuits is kind of a corny as hell name, and Dawn Biscuits kinda grosses me out, but I’ll take this!
