Ratings Are In 3/23/16: Maybe FOX Should do away with the 7 pm timeslot
The ratings for that shitty Ice Age special finally came in from Sunday Night, and here’s what we learned…
Other than Bob’s Burgers which is already moving to a new time slot, the 7 pm ET/PT time slot is a big waste of time. FOX has already sent Cooper’s Guide to Not Surviving TV and Bordertown to this slot and have both done miserable in the ratings, and now with this Ice Age special not doing all that great in the ratings (a 0.8 in the overnight), one has to wonder if the network should even bother with that extra hour.
Clearly FOX doesn’t give a shit about that time slot (nor any other slots on Sunday Night) because the network never advertises anything and constantly throws up more reruns than any other network on television which of course leads us to the lower ratings for The Simpsons, and Family Guy. Granted, Family Guy doesn’t exactly have the quality of show that it used to, but The Simpsons have been pretty damn good, so something’s wrong here.
Here’s hoping Son of Zorn gets a fighting chance.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
