Ratings Are In 3/2/16: Improvements for The Muppets’ ratings!
The Muppets said goodbye last night on ABC, and the fans showed up! The show has had one of the more disappointing seasons and made changes along the way, but is it enough to bring this series back for a second go round? Here’s what Deadline had to say:
As some campaigns for the White House looked near an end after last night’s primary results, ABC also brought The Muppets (0.9/3) and Marvel’s Agent Carter (0.7/2) to their Season 1 and Season 2 conclusions respectively. Both the freshman Kermit and gang show and the now 1940’s Hollywood set MAC have struggled in the ratings this season but the Jim Henson created puppets went out on top with a 13% rise and 4-week high in the key demo.
This could bode well if ABC/Disney execs follow the mantra of ‘It’s not how you start, but how you finish’, so maybe this show gets another chance. I actually do think the new show runner should be commended either way for doing the impossible.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
