BUBBLE CAN Review: Night Sweats “Autohosts”

After what seemed like forever, Night Sweats returned with an all new episode last night. I wasn’t a big fan of the last episode that aired, so it was disappointing to have a sour memory be the most recent. It’s sort of like going to bed angry with your spouse. So how was this return for Night Sweats? Read on to find out!

In “Autohosts” Night Sweats Corporate has decided replace Bart with an automated host, like those automated tellers at Canadian Tire. Featured cartoons include: Mind Janitors, Goodwin vs. Badwin, Dee Tremendous and Terrificland.
This was a great return to form for Night Sweats! The live action segments were fun and creative. It didn’t just feel like a typical sales pitch again. Automated Bart was a clever way to go and ended up being pretty hilarious.

As for the animated segments. They were all pretty good also. Mind Janitors, a new entry was sort of weird but quickly grows on you. Goodwin vs. Badwin returned. I thought it was finished it’s run, but it was back and while it wasn’t as good as previous installments, I had fun with it. Dee Tremendous wasn’t that impressive for me. Terrificland was great this episode. There is a lot of imagination packed into Terrificland, I wish we could have longer segments of it to really flesh out it’s world. There wasn’t a “Don’t Feed the Humans” last night, which I love. I’m very burnt out on DFTH. It’s a great little series, but more often than not I end up bored.

Overall, this was an awesome episode. It really embodied what I originally loved about Night Sweats. Creativity, innovation, and hilarity. It didn’t feel like we were just going through the motions of a Night Sweats episode. Something fun and new was brought to the table for both the live action and animated segments. More of this please.
