BOX Office Report 3/1/16: Anomalisa reaches over $3 mil

The recent box office earnings report has Anomalisa JUST over the $3 million mark with a gross of $3.1 million against an $8 million budget. To be perfectly honest, I thought the Oscars bump would’ve been a bit more impressive as I personally know people that spend the weekend leading up to the Oscars watching the movies that are nominated and making decisions. I’m also a little annoyed that this movie hasn’t had a wider release. In any event, despite the fact that Anomalisa lost out in the best animated feature category at the Academy Awards, I think overall there’s a lot the producers can take away from this and be very happy with.
