Review: Wander Over Yonder “The Hole…Lotta Nuthin’ / The Show Stopper”

 “The Hole…Lotta Nuthin’

A black hole threatens the universe and the only thing that can plug it up is Wander’s index finger. Sylvia volunteers to find another way to plug the hole leaving Wander by himself on a desolate planet. While his intentions are good, it isn’t long before Wander gets bored, hungry, and trying his best to stand guard.

Hater shows up and does everything he can to make Wander’s situation more difficult, but eventually gets swindled into putting HIS finger in the black hole. Peepers finds out about it and makes sure to ascertain Hater, but not before Hater lends a hand leaving Sylvia not needing to go through the trouble of getting a plug for the black hole.

Our Take

This was probably the better of the two episodes, however both featured plots with really not a lot of movement between different settings. The Looney Tunes-DNA shows a lot more in this one as well, between the tummy grumbles and Wander nearly destroying his ankle via a boulder. Solid episode.

Hater and Wander team up to play a concert in hopes of getting the attention of Dominator. Peepers and Sylvia try everything they can to put a stop to the show which is really just one song being played over and over. Eventually the show does stop JUST in time for Dominator to show up and start blasting the planet like crazy. She does stop, but only after letting everyone know how much she didn’t care about the show, and also not before Dominator sends off a few more missiles before leaving.

Our Take

The plot for this episode was so friggin’ dull, and this is coming from a guy who loves going to concerts. Like, if I would’ve had to have heard this song one more time I would’ve thrown my remote in the trash.
