Review: Pig Goat Banana Cricket “It’s Time to Slumber Party”
Spoilers Below
Pig wants to have a sleepover, but no one wants to join him because last time Pig tore the house down. Pig opts to turn to Angry Old Raisin as his last option. At first, Angry Old Raisin has no interest, but his mother forces him to go with Pig for the sleepover. Pig tries to make the best of it, but Angry Old Raisin nearly throws the swine out when he decides to have a change of heart and invite him back in for a game of rocking chairs. Pig is so good, that the next morning he’s invited to stay the whole month.
Banana seeks fame via newscasting so he sends Goat into a well so as to gain the exclusive, but she’s able to get out ok. Next, Banana turns to his rangers and blobs the hell out of them for the coverage that gains him the exposure he wants. The next story takes place at the Pickle Mart where Banana infests the place with rats and another reporter named Manny Louise shows up and calls bull shit on Banana’s so-called “stories”.
Goat longs for a VIP experience at a concert so she joins the army. Too bad her sergeant is crazy about her and decides to throw her into potato-peeling duty. Eventually, she makes her way over to the DJ Wheelbarrow show, but only after a pretty crazy obstacle course that gains the approval of her Sarge.
Cricket needs to put an end to a bad habit. That habit? Picking his nose which is just plain disgusting. In an effort to win Goat’s affections, Cricket decides to build a nose prison that he puts around his head to block any chance of his fingers getting through to pick his nose despite the fact that he really wants to. Cricket ends up blowing up the nose prison just as Goat walks in.
Cricket’s next effort is to put turbines up his nose that causes him to fly to outer space and land back to Earth like a meteor. The impact causes him to break every bone in his body which inspires him not to pick his nose. Unfortunately, nose picking is now all the craze which is caused by slices of pizza-aliens attached to Manny Louise promoting the fact that nose picking is cool. Banana teams up with Cricket to save the planet from the pizza-aliens by exposing them for what they are. The proof is in the pudding, and Banana is definitely telling the truth.
Goat shows up with her army and declares war on the aliens. Earth wins, and Pig throws a slumber party to celebrate with DJ, the rest of the town, and of course, it’s at Angry Old Raisin’s house.
Our Take
As compared to every other show, there’s just SO much going on in Pig Goat Banana Cricket, but the show moves relatively smooth and delicious. This week, the show continues a strong run with an alien invasion deal and to be honest, I’m always partial to alien invasions…especially invasions from alien-pizzas.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
