Review: Family Guy “An App a Day”

Keep these kinds of episodes coming! Peter overloads his cell phone with apps, so he purchases a new one. He then gives Chris his old phone. Learning from a fellow classmate that a picture of your wangdoodle is what the ladies want, he sends one over to a girl in his grade. The episode touches on some of the ridiculousness of today’s laws in regards to not being caught up with the technological times.
At one point in the episode, the Griffin family is jawing over apps in a way that you would expect from a family today. The usual cadence of kids telling their parents they don’t know how to use technology, ending in the kids usually being right. Meg made a snide remark to Lois about even using the word “app” in conversation. Peter is later caught watching porn on his phone because he doesn’t realize it’s streaming to the bedroom television. After being caught, he does what any respectable man does; he finishes.
Chris was charged as a sex offender for distributing child pornography as a result of the frank-and-beans picture he sent his classmate. He went through mandatory counseling and still felt urges. He then did what any minimalist would do; He took pills to chemically castrate himself and the gender neutral-ness just kept rolling. His/her hair, voice, clothes, hobbies, and even stance were all gender neutral.
Meanwhile, Brian convinces Stewie that he is a top-tier tennis player and to let him be his partner in a tournament so that he can schmooze it up with rich people. Brian eventually realizes he needs to practice since he’s never played a day in his life. We all saw that coming. For being as smart as he is, Stewie seems to forget his best friend is a raging alcoholic horn dog.
Lois made a remark about rolling three gutter balls for children AND it has a great storyline that even sheds light on a topic for discussion? Sign me up. For those two things, this episode gets a

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
