Review: Bordertown “High School Football”

A direct correlation is drawn many times throughout the series between Mexifornia and Texas when it comes to stereotypes. This episode reflected on the football portion of it. Let me add that if I wanted this, I would have just watched Reba.
As the entire town proceeds to harass and harangue the coach, he responds by throwing his whistle at Bud and appointing him the new football coach. Visibly shaken, Bud understands he has to find a way to win or the town will literally kill him. They showed a clip of a previous coach cooked to death in a Brazen Bull torture device.
Bud found potential in an illegal immigrant that was caught jumping the border right in front of him. He took him in as one of his own so he could use him to win football games. Where is his moral compass? Does he have one? This is not the first time I’ve asked this.
The second half of this episode seems to have been written by a person under the influence of some type of a controlled substance.
There were a few good one-liners in the episode. I remember laughing here and there, but the jokes didn’t stick with me; mainly because I’m still confused if I should be taking this show seriously. The ending was similar to a John Cena troll video. It escalated unnecessarily.

I think this show would do much better at a time slot that has a lot of drug-induced viewership. That way they can watch it for the colors and not so much for the content.
