Review: American Dad! “N.S.A. (No Snoops Allowed)”

Tonight we were given another great in this 13th season of American Dad! on TBS– the new episode “N.S.A. (No Snoops Allowed)”. Even the cold intro bit was killer- Klaus and the family in the kitchen with some really hilarious banter. Hayley accidentally eats some meat, which starts off her and Roger’s crazy arc in the episode.

Stan talks about this “new” big website, “Facebook”. Steve offers to come to the CIA to help Stan get Facebook up and running at work. The N.S.A. becomes involved, there are signing gorillas, and wrapped around it all is an interesting bonding plot with Stan and Steve, a  really cohesive feel, and a nice simple ending.

“N.S.A” felt like an older episode of American Dad! in many ways, which is a huge testament to what the show is, and still can be. Clever, comedic intertwined stories with weird twists and hooks have always been AD’s forte, and once again, tonight, they hit one home.

As always, I’m looking forward to next week. This season is turning out to be a bit like roulette, but when you look closely enough, there are some real gems in some of these episodes.
