Comics Review: Simpsons Comics #226
Spoilers Below
Lisa the Clown
Krusty gets shocked and sent to the hospital, so one of his show’s producers tap Lisa to star in her own educational spin-off. While not popular with the fans, supposedly the different show has the potential to bring in a decent amount of grant money. It’s eventually discovered that the producer was escaped from jail after a discovery made by Sideshow Bob, and she’s arrested to be sent back to jail. Lisa gets taken off the air much to the delight of the fans, and Krusty’s back in the driver’s seat.

A Dame to Swill For
A girl walks into Moe’s bar and is at the center of a gift battle between Mayor Quimby and Fat Tony. The winner? Moe with the fat tip.
Our Take
Want an issue of The Simpsons Comics and get good variety? This month’s got it! Documentaries, stories told in the third person featuring Moe, and Lisa as a clown prove to be a nice deviation from the norm and I hope this is something we see more of moving forward. Lisa the Clown kind of had lacking dialogue as compared to the other two, but overall a solid issue altogether.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
