Review: Adventure Time “King’s Ransom”
“King’s Ransom”, the final new Adventure Time of the week, returns the show to form– a simple Finn, Jake, and Ice King episode. Of course, the Ice King breaks into Finn and Jake’s house at the episode’s start, looking for a missing Günter. After all, Ice King and Günter were watching the young men’s junior figure skating championship semifinals, where an argument about pooting occurred.
Throughout the show, the three find a ransom note, some foxes, stolen crowns… there’s some really crazy stuff here and a pretty involved adventure. One of the most interesting things about “King’s Ransom” is how they keep bringing attention to the extreme jealousy that Ice King has of Finn and Jake’s relationship.
After all, we all want a friendship/brotherhood like that.
At the end of the episode, there’s a really cool visual thing– an army of Jakes. However, we also have no clear resolution of why the crown was stolen, why Günter disappeared, or who the mysterious woman with man’s voice was (who Ice King finds but who quickly disappears). In true AdTi fashion.
What a week!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
