Comics Review: Adventure Time #48
I hadn’t tried out Adventure Time comics before, but figured I’d give it a go with issue 48. I was kinda impressed right away with some of the funny dialogue (“kooky nutter”? Ha).
I quickly realized this story was Jake-heavy, and in some kind of alternate Ooo where Jake is married to a female dog and has several kids, one of which is a baby Finn? I don’t know. Basically, the story revolves around some monsters, and the underground, and the art is pretty good. I was also amused by how whenever I read Jake’s speech or thought bubbles, I thought them in John DiMaggio’s voice. Hilarious.
The second mini-story at the end with Princess Bubblegum was really cool- the art especially– a very nice take at making some of AdTi look kind of different.
Overall, Adventure Time #48 was interesting and easy on the eyes, but I found myself wishing they were Regular Show comics…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
